Anima Goli Films is a London-based award winning film production company founded by Nima Shahmalekpur and Anna Merryfield. We make independent films, consult on climate storytelling and provide commercial production services.

Anima Goli Films was created to develop and produce films which we love and believe in.

Nima Shahmalekpur is an award-winning London-based director and producer whose work spans commercial and narrative projects for clients including Comedy Central, Unilever, COTY, Maison Maergiela and the BBC. He co-founded Anima Goli Films with Producer Anna Merryfield to champion challenging, humanising stories in UK cinema, and his film Skin of Water, produced through Ridley Scott Associates, was nominated for Best UK Short at Raindance 2024. His short Only When You Bury Me in This Earth has screened at multiple festivals, including Aesthetica and the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival, where it won a Human Rights Award.

Anna has a background in journalism and has produced a slate of short documentaries which have been screened internationally.
